I have had these irons for about a year now and am extremely happy with them.

At this stage, I have not hit a single shot that did not feel anything other than wonderful coming off the club face, and would say that these irons are a great testament to Hogan (and Spalding). I have only played one round with the clubs, albeit hit them many times on the range, so the jury is still making its final decision. I have, however, lost about 10 yards with these clubs, mostly due to going from Dynamic Gold R-400 shafts to flighted Rifle 6.0 - the sacrifice in distance is made up by greater accuracy and more confidence standing over the ball (I have a good idea where it will go!). At impact, the contact is crisp, and just 'feels' right. The clubs are heavier to swing then my Mizuno's, which helps me to keep a more regular swing plane. They set up well and inspire confidence at address. The Hogans are beautiful to look at, and have clearly been very well crafted. The clubs are quite pricey, but with custom shafts and a two iron included, not prohibitively expensive. Chose Rifle shafts as the Apex #4 stock shafts seemed a little whippy and I have been looking for more control.
Having tried Mizuno Comp EZ's, and finding them too similar to my old XV's - namely nice, forgiving, and long, but with little or no workability - I opted for a set of Apex Plus's. Having switched from my old Hogan blades to cavity backs about five years ago, I felt it was time to go back to a forged club.
